The Journal of Health Economics and Outcomes Research (JHEOR) is an international high-quality journal covering all fields and methodologies related to health economics and outcomes research. Manuscripts with topics ranging from theory and methodology to international studies and analyses with a health economic or outcomes research focus in a wide variety of therapeutic areas will be considered for publication.
JHEOR complies with the recognized ethical standards for publications and authorship, including Section II “Ethical Considerations in the Conduct and Reporting of Research” of the Uniform Requirements for Manuscripts Submitted to Biomedical Journals, established by the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (http://www.icmje.org/recommendations/browse/roles-and-responsibilities/defining-the-role-of-authors-and-contributors.html).
JHEOR applies a double-blind review process whereby papers will be refereed at least by two experts. However, the editors take the liberty to reject papers right away if they do not fit to the journal, arouse limited interest to the readers or do not meet scientific standards. Submissions are free of charge. The publication fee will be charged only if the paper is accepted for publication.
Each article published by JHEOR follows a specific format depending on type, as outlined in the corresponding instructions for authors. Please review the instructions for authors, including information about preparing a manuscript for submission to JHEOR, criteria for publication and the online submission process. Other relevant information about the journal's policies and the review process can be found in 'About this journal'.
