The mission of the Journal of Health Economics and Outcomes Research (JHEOR) is to combine the highest academic standards using peer review and a speedy publication process commensurate with the productivity of the industry. JHEOR aims to contribute to the development of methodological standards in the field with rapid publication, validated by rigorous peer view.
JHEOR seeks articles related to outcomes research and the economics of health. Theoretical models as well as empirical studies from any therapeutic areas are accepted. In particular, articles related to comparative effectiveness research, health technology assessments, economic evaluations, meta-analysis, literature research, patient-reported outcomes, preference-based assessments and health policy analyses are welcome. Reflecting the multidisciplinary nature of the field, JHEOR will foster communication within communities such as social and behavioral sciences, economists, statisticians, epidemiologists, health care providers, and policy makers.
